A lot of Everett houses were built in the 50s through the 70s, and many still run on the original ductwork and an older gas furnace. When those furnaces get tired they short cycle, smell dusty, or just stop on the first cold night. We do furnace repair on all the common brands and we’ll tell you straight if it’s worth fixing.
Heat pumps are the other big one. With utility rebates often available for heat pumps, plenty of families here are switching from oil or electric baseboard to a heat pump or a ductless mini-split for the rooms that never warm up.
Older attics around north Everett often have a few inches of settled insulation and gaps around the lights and the attic hatch.
